Love River Cruise 爱河 | Kaohsiung

Hey guys!

So.. I decided to not blog it day-by-day according to the itinerary. Because, I really wanted to share about this romantic Love River Cruise at Kaohsiung, Taiwan! I wasn't expecting much before we actually reach there, all I wanted to know was "Why is it named Love River and What's so special about it?".

ferry rides

We reached there 20-minute earlier before we get to hop on our Love Boat for the cruise. With the extra leisure time, we took the opportunity to walk along and see what they have at there. It either because of its name, Love River, that plenty of couples dating at the park! Couples everywhere! I remember it was chilly and slightly windy on that night, there's a bicycle way and benches; bars, cafes, stalls are everywhere too! Trust me, the sparkly night view at there were simply amazing!

There're two gondolas (love boats) to fit all of us (10pax). And both gondola rides were having different themes on that night - one that only sings English songs and another one sings Chinese songs. Before you hop on to the boats, we were given life jacket each for safety purpose. And of course, we were told about the brief history about gondola too.

night view

The moment we thought that it is going to be just another ordinary river cruise that telling us what are the interesting attractions around the area, we were all surprised with romantic songs! Not only one or two, but FOUR romantic love songs! Our guide has a really great voice and it was really fun to go on the cruise! I guess this is really a great selling point for those who thinks Love River Cruise is nothing but boring one. You'll get to see the Holy Rosary Cathederal, Kaohsiung Bridge, Kaohsiung District Court and others whilst enjoying the romantic night river cruise.

Wing is happy!

I managed to film some footages whilst cruising along the riverbank. Our guide actually sang four different songs - What A Wonderful World, Hallelujah (OST Shrek), Wonderful Tonight and You Raise Me Up. Beautiful songs whilst chilling and enjoy all the sightseeing, it's perfect for a couple night out.

enjoy watching!

p.s: AirAsia flies from Kuala Lumpur to Kaohsiung 3x weekly.
